«Qui sait s’il ne faut pas dépasser de beaucoup (la nature) pour entendre ce qu’elle veut nous dire » SADE

Olivier de Sagazan is a painter, sculptor and performer. He has since made over 100 performances in USA, China, India and Europe. In his existential performative series « Transfiguration », he builds layers of clay and paint on his own face to transform, disfigure his own figure, revealing a half human and half animal, who is seeking to understand his real nature. At once disquieting and deeply moving, this new body of work reveals the puppets and the puppeteer that we have inside of us.
We can find him, as well on stage as in movies: Samsara of Ron Frick, on a fashion film of Nick Knight and Gareth Pugh, on Channel Zero of Nick Antosca, In video clip with Mylène Farmer, and with FKA Twigs, and soon in the movies: Discarnate of Mario Sorrenti, The Mute of Bartosz Konopka and a court VR with Qiu Yang .
« I am flabbergasted in seeing to what degree people think its normal, to be alive. Disfigurement in art is a way to make face to face to real life ! I have to dig my face and try to understand my true nature, between my Holy Face and my Meat Face. » ODS
